Do the math
Installment: R$ 2,166.66 · 5 installments
| Average salary | R$ 3,000.00 |
|---|---|
| Installment amount | R$ 2,166.66 |
| Number of installments | 5 |
| Total to receive | R$ 10,833.30 |
For this request, the worker must have received at least 12 salaries in the last 18 months immediately before the date of dismissal.
How the installment amount is calculated
First, the average salary of the last three months before the dismissal is worked out. The table in force since January 11, 2026 is applied to it:
| Average salary | Installment amount |
|---|---|
| Up to R$ 2,222.17 | average salary × 0.8 |
| From R$ 2,222.18 to R$ 3,703.99 | the amount above R$ 2,222.17 × 0.5, plus R$ 1,777.74 |
| Above R$ 3,703.99 | R$ 2,518.65 (ceiling) |
No installment is smaller than the minimum wage (R$ 1,621.00). Example: with an average salary of R$ 3,000.00, the installment is R$ 2,166.66.

Who is entitled
- First request: the worker must have received at least 12 salaries in the last 18 months immediately before the date of dismissal.
- Second request: the worker must have received at least 9 salaries in the last 12 months immediately before the date of dismissal.
- Third request or later: the worker must have received at least 6 salaries in the months immediately before the date of dismissal.
Rules for the average salary
- If the worker received three or more monthly salaries in this last employment relationship, the calculation takes the average of the salaries of the last three months;
- If, instead of the last three salaries of that employment relationship, the worker received only two monthly salaries, the calculation takes the average of the salaries of the last two months;
- If, instead of the last three or two salaries of that same employment relationship, the worker received only the last monthly salary, that salary is the one considered for the calculation.
- If the worker did not work the whole of any of the last three months, the salary will be calculated on the basis of the full month of work.
- If the salary is not in the CNIS (the national register of jobs, pay and contributions): the latest update of the Carteira de Trabalho (work card) must be considered. If it is not up to date, consider the contribution salary stated on the payslip
- If the worker is receiving auxílio-doença (sickness benefit) or has been called up for military service, the salary amount reported will be based on the average of the last 2 salaries or, if there are not two, on the amount of the last salary
The calculator gives an estimate: the Ministério do Trabalho decides the amount and the entitlement, with the data of your employment. The request is made through the Carteira de Trabalho Digital (the digital work card app) or on gov.br.
